Baltistan Adventure: Amin Brakk

Amin Brakk is situated in the Nangma Valley of Karakoram. It is in open zone, one did not need a trekking permit or have to pay Peak Royalty fee to climb this mountain tower. 30-35 days round trip from Islamabad is recommended to climb the Amin Brakk.
According to record available Amin Brakk was first attempted in May 1996 and again in 1997 by Basque climbers Jon Lazkano and Adolfo Mdinabeitia. Who had to turn back only 300m from the summit due to bad weather? Finally Amin Brakk received its successful first ascent by Spanish climber Silvia Vidal, Pep Masip and Miguel Puigdomenech in August, 1999 and name this peak to their beloved cook “AMIN”.

ITINERARY :
Day 01
Arrival at Benazir International Aiport Islamabad and Transfer to Hote,Overnight in Hotel
Day 02
Departure to Chilas via Silk Rout
Day 03
Complete road journey (08-09 hrs) to Skardu ( 275 km ) En rout has good view of Nanga Parbat 8125-M at junction of Indus River and the rapids and fall of Indus River. Overnight at hotel.
Day 04
Final preparation for the Expedition.
Day 05
Early morning drive on Jeep towards Kande Village, Overnight in Tents.
Day 06-07
Trekking to Amin Brakk base camp. Overnight in Tents.
Day 08-18
Climbing towards summit. Length of climbing period depends on climber fitness experience and weather.
Day 19-20
Trek back towards Kande. Overnight in Tents.
Day 21
Drive to Skardu, Overnight in Hotell
Day 22
Fly back to Islamabad,If unable due to bad weather same day drive to Chilas. Overnight in Chilas.
Day 23
Drive to Islamabad. Overnight in Islamabad.
Day 24
De-briefing at Alpine Club of Pakistan and visit of Rawalpindi / Islamabad.
Day 25
Transfer to Benazir International Aiport for your onward destination.
